max-rev vs. inline pro.
i am building my own custom turbo kit. and i have been doing alot of research on what parts i want to use. i am stuck between the max-rev and inline pro mani's. i have heard good things about both of them and was just wondering if the fellow ht memebers could give me there opinions to which one they would prefer.
thanks
thanks
If you go with Max-Rev, which my roommate did, you will want to make sure you have a 4 bolt exhaust housing. With the Inline pro, you will want a 5 bolt exhaust housing. The Max-Rev supposedly needs no cutting of the block to fit your standard T3/T04E turbo, and supposedly a T3/60-1 will fit as well. Our block was already cut from a previous turbo kit, but it looked like it would have cleared. I am not sure about the Inline pro needing any cutting of the webbing. I think the Max-Rev would be equal in performance with the Inline Pro, and would save my money with the Max-Rev one. Plus I have seen some that were polished very nicely and looked dope at the same time.
I think it just comes down to cost. How much can you afford etc. Both are log type manifolds, and essentially, a log is a log. Inline Pro also has a stainless steel version of the manifold which could be polished as well for some serious bling. But basicaly it just comes down to what you can afford IMO. The maxrev is cheaper so I went with it. It also allows as you mentioned to fit a Garrett 4bolt in there, which are usually cheaper as well. I fit one in a my hatch and barely did any modifications at all, although its a tight fit. Slim fan is recomended if you have EG
Its kinda like that big debate that people who do swaps always have: b18b vs b16a2.
Like people alway ask which one to swap into there civics etc, but really i have never seen a b18b swap go more for a b16a2, the ls is always cheaper....anyways I was just trying to put some stuff into perspective

i chose inline pro cause it has wastegate outlet more in the middle - which i hope will allow better boost control and quality of the manifold - i don't think it will crack as easily as others - and use 5 bolt turbo if possible..
Ok so the Max-rev and the Inline Pro are for two different types of turbos basically.
What about a comparison between the Inline Pro and the RevHard manifold? They are both for 5 bolt turbo's correct? Any outstanding differences, or does it just come down to price with these as well?

well.. you can use 4 bolt turbo with inline pro - but you might have to shave some of the block...
and inline pro and revhard fit the same way - in my case i run revhard kit with inline pro manifold so i don't have to spend money on custom downpipe.

Custom downpipe? I don't get how having an inline pro manifold would change anything involving the downpipe. Please explain.
These units are swapable...

I have the maxrev manifold, and I had to shave my block to get my turbo to fit. Not a big deal though. Just the fin, and the tab under the engine code had to be shaved off. Here's a pic of the problem with fitting the turbo with my maxrev manifold.

It's a Garret, I believe it's the t3/t4e, but I'm not sure, where can I see to make sure what it is.. then again, that would be hard considering it's already installed.
