my 94 gsr makes a nosii when it revs btw 3k and 3.5k. its annoying as ****. plus no girlies want to be seen in car that whines? help me out. my friend said it was the heat sheild to the cat but it wasn't. it's comin out from somewhere around the cat.

 

Emiliano, How did you figure out it was NOT your cat?

Also, please include more info.. is it a new CAT? how long have you had it? What exhaust are you running?

We need to know these things to help you.

my car does the same thing at the exact same rpm's. i was also told it was a heat shield but it's too cold up here to get under my car and check!

 

It's not the heat sheild from the cat. if it is or not is from the actual cat i dont know. mr has almost 95k miles. the cat has never been changed. I'mm running the stock exhaust.

 

Possibly the noise is coming from the header. G3s are know for developing a rattle from the header. Try checking that. HTH
