still having problems on noise under my car
i just went under my car again for the 5th ******* time. and i tried to find to see a leak. i used wd-40 and spray where the joints are and no air coming out. so i though i take out the heat shield above the cat. ( i have a high flow cat too).
but, still i have noises coming under neath the car. the noise sounds like bunch of BBs in a coffee can. usally this happens when i am driving and not in park idling. what the **** is going on here??????? i even change my spark plugs to NGK r7s.
does anyone know how to solve this or get rid of the noise?

The heatshield on your cat is loose or your cat is blown

i had the cat for 3 years and now its starting to do it and it does not sound like that

what kind of CAT is it? Did you bore/hollow it out yourself?

its an OBD I high flow cat.. there is no brand, but it looks like a professinal one. can't really explain it.

My high flow Carsound cat blew out, and it made the same noise you are describing.
Is your cat a "high flow cat" or is it basically a straight pipe with catalytic covers. When you say it is gutted, that leads us to believe there is nothing in there, and you probably need to look elsewhere for your problem. If it is a high flow cat, then it probably has seen the last of its days.

Yeah, mine only did it at idle as well, and the cat was less than 5 months old. Thank God for Carsound and their catalytic converter warranty.

its the cat... replaces my cat when i put on my greddy exhaust and got a cheap *** high flow on and it made that noise. I thought it was leaking but it was the vibration coming from the cat when I gas and let go of the gas.. It was annoying and after a while went away though. I think you should get a nice cat might solve your problems
