Ground Controls: Spring Rates and Ride Quality
I currently have Koni Yellows, Eibach Pro-Kit, Neuspeed Front Upper Tower Bar, Neuspeed Rear Upper Tower Bar, Neuspeed Rear Lower Tie Bar, and JDM ITR 23mm Rear Sway Bar...
I consider my car to have really nice ride quality right now, with the shocks set on Full Soft. I set them on Full Hard a few days ago and hated how it rode. I want to switch out the Pro-Kit to get a little bit of height tunability and improvement in performance.
I called GC and they recommended spring rates of 350F/450R for a daily driven frequently autocrossed car. Any comments from you all on a good spring rate for me, and what will provide good ride quality?
Ben
BTW, I did search
just for you

I'm in the same boat, I'd like to know also. I've searched and searched and still haven't found out if it's better to have the fronts on a higher spring rate or the rears.

Fortunately, your tie bars and sway bars won't change the quality of your ride (comfort wise) so you can take all of that out of the equation. Second, rear spring rates change ride comfort more than front rates, so increase the rears with caution in a daily driver. After that, refer to any of the hundreds of spring rate threads already in this forum, and check the FAQ, for what will perform the best for you.

off the shelf gc's are closer to 325/250 for civics/integras, and like already mentioned, if you want comfort, stick with that.
find someone with a similar car and setup you're looking for, ride in theirs, and see how you like it.

i am in the same boat, i have a new set of koni sp3's. (thanks tornactive
). i was looking at 350f 400r. kinda half and half street/track. i know there is no "perfect spring rate" for both of my applications, i am just looking for a sweet spot of sorts.
also, what about 400's all the way around. i have the itr rear sway with the beaks kit on my gsr. i want a pretty netural set up, but i'd rather have more oversteer then understeer.
any advise from people who have them is appreciated
Thanks
