Default Might be building a new bottom end...which parts to use?

Well...I may be building a new block due a local shops carelessness...so Im wondering what I should do. Right now, I have a B18B block with a B16A head. I'll use the head with the next bottom end....but Im wondering what bottom end to go with and what parts to use. Im looking to make around 350-400whp, so im trying to choose wisely and have a strong bottom end as I drive this car often. There are so many options to use, that i just dont know where to start. This last setup consister of JE 9.0:1 pistons with crower rods, and i was debating doing the same thing. Im thinking of going with Darton T-top sleeves, or the AEBS sleeves. Any info and advice is appreciated .

Go with a gsr bottom end, already has v-tec so thats one less thing to worry about. Then build it with darton or ge sleeves. What you listed above sounds good.

Yeah i thought about that.....will the GSR setup make the same kind of power that i can now? I made 330 by 6k rpm...id like to keep it that way with the next block if I could, but Im not sure if the actual engine design between the LSVTEC setup and GSR setup would be that different.

A gsr block with aebs sleeves will make very good power and be very reliable. There will be a little power difference between the ls and gsr block, but the reliablilty of the gsr will be much better.

just get the best parts u can afford and even the ones u cant.
i regret using eagle rods when i shoulda spent 300 more and gottn a stronger rod...no probs w/ eagles but when i push thi s engine i want the peace of mind. do it once and ull be set. ive gone through so many different setups /heads/ parts and whatnot before the motor even got assembled. guess i was to wishy washy. get the best
