i tried to search but no outcome maybe im not searching for the right thing. But whats the difference between these motors beside the fact the b18b is in the 90-93 and the b18b1 is from 94-00 ? Also while im at it whats the most you can produce outta this motor, either ls/vtech or turbo/supercharged?

i'm pretty sure that the b18b is a jdm motor, and the b18b1 is a usdm motor. the only difference in the two is to tell that they are jdm and usdm, and in that case, the hp and torque is a little different too.

 

 

There is no such thing as a b18b anywhere else but the US. The B18b is ONLY in 3rd gen U.S. integra's.

all honda jdm motors do NOT have the # after the letter. this has been covered a billion times. jdm motors have alil higher compression than honda usdm motors.

so yes, (jdm)b18b=(usdm)b18b1. and applies to d-series, f-series, h-series, j-series and k-series. and prob the other japanese makers. nissan, mazda, toyota, etc...

Jdm b18b is the jdm dc motor. b18b1 is american dc motor. b18b4 is the only other one and thats the 96-01 ls motor

 

Do they have different timing covers?
