B18A, B18B?? Whats the difference???!?!

Is there a difference in the blocks? I am building an LS/VTEC and I want to make sure one is not better than another. Thanks in advance!!

If you are rebuilding everything including new pistons, it doesnt really matter which one you use.

Wrong. B18A - 140 horsepower. B18B - 142 horsepower. The difference is the cams and a slightly better flowing head for the B18B motor. The blocks are the same, so for LS/vtec you should have no worries.

wrong again. cams are same part #. different intake manifold, different exhaust manifold and different ECU.
that's where you get the 2hp w/ the b18b. gotta love honda. heh.
