if your going to build it it doesent matter
get the one that you can find for the cheepest
the blocks are iddentical the heads are a lil different
the b18b has better cams and im i think but no real big difference

i'm in the process of building my ls vtec and i got my ls long block for $200

you're probably better off posting this in forced induction because all the turbo junkies read that forum, but i'd say go with either one you can find for cheapest

exactly...i think the b18b came in the 94+ tegs...correct me if i'm wrong...try to get a b18b if the price is right just because it would most likely have less miles than a b18a would

$800 for a darton block? I thought it was Dart blocks, and they were $1800?

yeah, b18b sounds better, but if you were going to rebuild then it doesn't matter. What about a b20? I think b20 longblocks are running in the same price range, maybe a little more.
