Default FMU + Inline pump = OBSOLETE!! SMC+ and DSM 450's = New deal (praise for SMC inside)

Heya guys, spent about 4 hours tonight installing my DSM 450's and my new SMC+ (takin my time, to make sure its all perfect). Everything = great. At first when installing the DSM's I started it to make sure it would at least do that, took it for a short jaunt..got to a stop sign, it almost killed hehe. Had to wait for about 10 minutes for the engine to burn the excess gas (*i think i was running rich hehe) Anyways, went back, hooked up my new SMC+ and the BASE map included (not sure if it was pre programmed or not or if it was intended to be) but it smoothed EVERYTHING out without even tweaking it! I tweaked the idle a very little bit, and now my car feels like it came with dsm 450's stock! I will be doing a full write up in the near future for people wanting to know more features, how it works, how to install, and any other misc. questions people may have about this new product. Well, its 4am, gotta be up at 8

ttyl guys!,
mike

I made him a manifold/turbo/downpipe in trade for that zex kit that you see down below...UPS should be knocking on his door come Monday or Tuesday. This kid is crazy, it sounds like hes doing the turbo install in the ******* parking lot at school hardcore mike

im not boosting (YET!), partial throttle = good, transition is a very little jerk...but 10x better than the AFC hack (if you tune it right)..

no boggin!

(thanks tink )

I have the SMC+ for my 450's on the way for my boosted Z6. I'm hoping for real impressive results the summer.

Really looking forward to the write up man!

umm, can't really elaborate more at this time...nothing really more to know than it comes with a nice basemap for DSM 450's, just tweaked the idle and I was ready to go!

it depends on how bad it is, the afc hack and smc will always have the "jerk" because of the on/off nature of the mapping. but you can tune it out(Some of it).

i have the 450's and the smc+ sitting in my room. i will install them this spring - i cant wait, especially after hearing your success. it gets me worried every time i hear about people having problems with it, but then it turns out they hooked something up wrong so i'm not worried at all. thanks for the post!

Mikes steps to success:

1) Follow the directions
2) Follow the directions
3) SOLDER ALL CONNETIONS AND SEAL THEM PROPERLY WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE!! NO CRIMPING CRAP and sealing them in scotch tape ANd then take your time wrapping up the ECU wires NICELY!
