What do you guys think i should do? "Get it fixed" yes but would this be a good time to do some other things....anyone know how much this is gonna cost me? Honda cant get to it till monday but the tech guy said that its a 100%chance the valves are bent should i do the h23Vtec? If so what else needs to be done to complete that swap? I know im asking so many questions but im so upset my lude is dead

h23 vtec is a lot more involved than just 'fixing it' but it's an option

I'd send it to PortFlow and let them have fun.

I had the same dilema a few years ago.Honda said about 1500-1700 to fix.For that amount plus a little more you could send it to JG or Gude or Portflow etc. to get a port and polish, cams and valves replaced.

I had the same prob about 2 months ago. You can just buy a H22a engine and ecu. You can use your old tranny and axles, just run the Vtec wires to the H22a ecu. It shouldn't be that much and the gear ratio is still damn good. Just an option for you.

i have a usdm h22 for sale. and its not 100% the valves are bent, its about 99%. i know of 2 times that a t-belt snapped and didnt bend them, 1 time i did it a few months ago in my x-gf's car. to tell if they are, take a feeler gage and check them like a valve adjustment. be carefull to turn the cams as you turn the engine over so it doesnt hit the valves. if it is in spec or close, where adjusting them helps, they are not bent, if it way big of a gap, and adjusting does nothing there bent.

besides getting it fixed, get a new water pump and oil pump. also cam gears while the belt is off.

It's all luck if you bent your valves or not. I broke my timing belt at 7400rpms in 2nd gear and my valves are fine.
