My cf hood has on holes for windshield washer squirters. So i was going to use the system to either spray ice water on the intake mani or the intercooler (like the sti).
Which, if either, would be benifical? Thanks.

Mitsubishi evos have water squirters on the intercooler from the factory. Im sure you would see a much bigger improvement if you put it on the intercooler. Put one squirter on each side and have them spray towards each other so the mist covers the entire face of the intercooler. It might actually work pretty well Just dont do it at the drag strip

yea i was leaning toward the intercooler. I would do it at the drag strip but in the burn out area. Its wet there anyways.

Can u explain why you say this? is it because you can get your tires wet?

Does anyone have a link to this or any other water injection system be on the outside of the intercooler or on the inside of the intake?

leaking any type of fluid while on the track is illegal. thats why catchcans are mandatory. It could cause someone to go out of control, ect.

but the question would be, wouldn't the water evaporate when it hits the intercooler leaving no trace of water at all on the floor?

Think about it ... when you turn on your windshield wipers, do you see how much water comes out? That will not evaporate quickly

Just rig up your own nitrous purge to spray on your intercooler, or get the NX bar if you REALLY want to cool that thing down. Warm water isen't gonna do that much (since that "iced water" you put under the hood will stay "iced" for about 10 minutes).

Valid point, but the water sprays should leave a "mist" of water, not the squirt that the normal windshield squirters throw, right? so that "mist" should distribute itself on the intercooler evenly, that way evaporating itself, or well, most of it.

you should use a mister nozzle(like the one they use at a plant nursery), not your windshield washer nozzle. and you should put it in front of the intercooler, not the back because the air will just blow the mist back into the intercooler.

you could get those improved water sprayers from a local performance shop.
they mist instead of spray
