Default Cheap amps... what the deal?

Hey, im looking to get an amp for my components. Im just looking for 75 watts x 2 channels. I have noticed that there is a huge price difference between crap and name-brand amps. My question is whats the deal with the cheap Pyramid and Legacy amps? I saw a 75 watt x 4 channel amp on ebay for only $40!? How would a cheap amp like this affect the sound of your music?

Thanks a lot.

well, im not an audio expert, but they say cheap brands arent really capable of putting out that kinda power. also, they may overheat which will decrease the life span of your amp. for the most part, you get what you pay for.

Those amps are garbage! Not even worth the $40. Those amps will give you hell, no power and lots of noise. Save your money and get something that will deliver what you want. I like MTX personally, decent price and power good enough for me.

Even though they claim to have 75x4, you'll get more power out of something higher quality like phoenix gold that's rated at 25x4. They just don't live up to their claims...

Yeah save your money, Go with the good brands, and you will be happy.. If you buy a cheap amp it may bump for a little while and then blow out, and you will have to replace it, even if it is under warranty.. It gets old doing that.. Just save your money and buy something good that will last you years and years.. I only Keep my Zapco amps cuz they keep their Value. My brother has had a Z100 for over 5 years, it was used to push a Single Fosgate sub, then 2 JL w6's when they cam out.. Still Works.. Never had aprob;em other than a blow fuse..
