I am going to make a custom turbo for my zc. And i was wondering what cars i should look for at the junk yard that will have a good size turbo for my setup? I want to run around 6-12 psi. Any suggestions?????

The best junk yard turbo I have found to be, is the 1st gen DSM 14B.

The T-25 is a little to small, and kills top end.
I do not have too much info on the Saab/Volvo T3's, so I can't help you there.

Here is my "How to" article to turbo a ZC....

Happy boosting...

I know the chrysler and saab use a .48 on the exhaust side and a .42 on the compressor side.

I know the T3's off ford thunderbirds were like
60 trim .60 a/r compressors| stage I wheel and .48 a/r turbine (auto) and .63 turbine (manual)

CivicRyda2K's pointer toward the Ford T3's would be the way I'd steer you. The DSM TD04 and the Saab .42 trim are both on the small side, support 200-220 hp before you start overspinning them.

The Ford T3's are .60 trim compressors, good for 300 crank hp, and can be found on any of the 84-86 Ford 2.3 turbos. Be careful of the 87-88 Thunder Chicken - they got IHI's that are smaller than the aforementioned TD04/.42 trim T3s.

The 14b will support a lot of power. They put big heavy dsm's into the 12's.
