Default 95 dx ecu in a 95 cx?

I want to know if a dx ecu will work on my cx motor? They are both from 95 and my cx ecu is giving me problems. Has anyone else done this? Thanks.

Yes but you will need a DX O2 sensor. The DX has a 4 wire and the CX has a 1 wire O2 sensor. It will throw a CEL if you don't use the one for a DX.

will the dx o2 sensor plug right into my factory harnesss by the distributor? Or do I need to run all new wires to my ecu? Thanks.

You will need to run new wires. By the way, why are you wanting to use the DX ECU?

I'm swapping on a dx head with crx si cam and I'm setting it up like mista bone. I want to know if I can hook up the dx ecu while still running a cx head. I'm just curious as to what would happen. Maybe I'll feel a difference. Thanks for your help.

I would go straight to the source and get the info from him. There should be no reason why the ECU wouldn't work with the setup you plan to run. Like I said before though, just make sure to use a DX O2 sensor and wire it up correctly.

I don't have a dx o2 sensor yet, but don't I just plug it into the harness where the cx sensor came from? Or do I have to run wires to my ecu? Will the car run fine with a cx sensor, at least until its inspection time? Thanks.
