This head looks like it is pretty nice and come with some good parts. Tell me if you think it is worth the money.

$2k?!? No friggin way. No mention of who did the porting, and Crower 63401 cams are rather tame. I use the 63403s and the idle is nearly stock, but it screams in Vtec. Get yourself an unmodded b16 head and send it to Alaniz tech, Portflow, DPR...etc.

 

Agree. I saw that auction, and who knows what kind of work these guys do- maybe it's great, but I wouldn't spend 2G's to find out.

I think I would call them and ask for more pics and ask who ported it, and what kind of coating they put on the chambers, it doesn't sound like a bad deal because most shops charge around $850 for the porting, the valves are $340, the springs are somewhere around $350 then they would be charging you $400 for the core, and let's not forget the coating on the chamber. I would't call it a smok'in deal but it is about what you should pay. I give it

I was thinking the same thing when i saw the coating.
It is a good price, but i can't figure out who made the coating, i know swain coatings for the combustion chamber is white.
Looks like a good price, but i would do it myself just to be sure it's done the right way.
