Default lugnuts - acorn or conical (tapered)

I've done a search but it wasnt very helpful.

I know stock honda/acura rims use acorn seating. But do all aftermarket rims use conical / tapered lugs? I just got some Buddy Club P1 SFs and I want to make sure I get the right type. Can someone please explain how you know which one your rims need? And can you recommend any particular brand or style? tia.

You just look at where the nuts touch the rim. If that spot has rounded edges, then use acorn nuts. If you see it in the shape of a cone (slants) then use conical.

I use gorilla locking tapered lugs and they work fine.

Can someone please look at the 2nd pic in the link and tell me if those rims should use tapered or acorn lugs? tia

Most aftermarket wheels require tapered or "tuner style" lugs. OEM is the only wheel I know that uses acorn. HTH

The pic is not the clearest but I'd say it uses a tapered (conical) seat lugnut. Gorrila spline lock lugs are great..plus you can get them in black.
