Default Neuspeed SofSport

Has anyone tried these springs? They sound interesting - they only lower the car by 0.75", but supposedly give the same handling as the Sport springs. The idea is to maintain ground clearance for people who live in areas with snow and rough roads (me ).

TIA

I believe they're the Neuspeed version of the H&R OE's ?

I have the OE's, significantly improved ride over stock. In terms of drop height its OK.. I would prefer it half an inch lower. Non enthusiasts wont visually notice the drop. Integ owners will.

Thanks for the replies!

Yeah, I'm sure they're better than stock (what isn't ) and yes, I'd like more of a drop. But with Maine's busted-*** roads and snow by the barrel-full I don't know if even a 1.3" drop would fly.

Ditto.

Match it to a Bilstein or Koni shock. Believe it or not, the spring rates of the sofsport and H&R OE are actually stiffer than the itr springs.

Really? Well, they've just been added to my "serious consideration" list.

Can you point me to a page that lists spring rates? I know there's one out there, I just don't have a link anymore....

I think those springs are crap, you should just save your money and cut a couple of dead coils off of your stock springs. Or better yet learn how to drive in these rough areas and you won't have this problem.

Do you have these springs? Furthermore, I have years of driving experience in rough and snowy areas - that's why I'm wary of lowering the car to the point where it becomes a snow plow. It wouldn't take much with an Integra, either.

snoballgsr,

cutting coils is not only ghetto, its downright dangerous. I happen to have the H&R OE setup and can tell you that that last inch that the springs leave (as opposed to the Race) make a big difference with pot-holes and other bumps. I guess you like having scraped and dented headers and pipes.

that's all i have to say to you..

see sig for my suspension setup. ride is great, firm.. not harsh, and i have plenty of rough road to drive over (as well as snow). i have nothing but praise for this setup.

hey, i was just at uconn this past weekend.. i saw at least 3 ricey 3rd gens over at hilltop apartments.. poor tegs.. not the first time i've seen them though.. but each time i cringe..

i'll try to get pics of my teg (tho it's a hatch), so you can see how much it lowered. konis are on the bottom perch, so the drop is more than you would see on h&r OEs otherwise.

I have the H@R OE's which are almost the same. I'm happy with them. I drive them in the snow all the time with no problems. They came out lower than advertised though 1.25f/1r. The front was higher than the rear before the lowering so it turned out good.
