B18B Swap into 00 EX wiring question..
To the people whom have swapped a LS in there car I have a few questions for you.
I have gathered a list of the needed parts to get the motor into my 2000 civic EX, the motor is a 97 B18B(OBD2).
Parts:
Rear Tranny mount from the 99-00 Si: 56827-S04-N10 $28.86
Driver side mount bracket from the 99-00 Si: 11910-P30-000 $40.12
96 del Sol AC bracket: 38930-P54-000 $94.82 ( only if you want to keep your ac)
99-00 Si shiftlinkage: 54201-S04-G10 $30.43
54301-S04-G10 $30.31
Axles for a 99-00 Si
Ecu I will be using is a OBD1 P75 LS along w/ a Skunk2 Ecu harness.
My main concern is getting the wiring done right the first time around. I will be using my stock EX (2000) harness. I have a Helm's for my year car but have yet to get one for the LS. I cam across this page http://www.jspectuning.com/6gen/ : there is notes that to extend the 02 wiring (I shouldn't have to do this) and the extend the EVAP wires to mount it on the firewall and that is all that is needed for someone with a LS/B20..
Is there any other wiring that needs to be done?
If I left something important out please let me know.
Thanks Eric

Sounds like you've done your homework and are off to a good start. You can use 99-00 Si or 94-01 Integra axels, same applies to the shift linkage. All the mounts you have listed are correct but one addition would be a front tranny mount bracket for a 99-00 Si or 94-01 Integra and reuse the stock Civic rubber mount.
No.. I am going to use my stock ex harness (obd2) but since I have a obd1 p75 LS ecu.. I am going to the conversion harness to be able to use the ls ecu with my harness.
Plus I am going hondata shortly after the motor is install.
Make sense?

i just put a 2000 LS in my 97 ek i made my own conversion harness for the 96-98 car and my car was a cx so i had to change the iacv wires because the cx was a three wire sensor and the LS has a two wire I just didn't use the orange one in my harness. I am using a 94 LS computer No codes.

Honestly it looks as though you've got it all worked out.
Keeping your EX harness will make it very easy, but have you got the LS harness?
You can sell that OBD2 LS harness to anyone with a 1992-1995 Civic with a JDM motor - it makes some swaps for the 1992-1995 Civic way easier, so that's a desirable harness!
Oh and are you retaining the EVAP, because I didn't on my B18C5 swap and I passed emissions just fine by swapping in a stock P28 ECU.

The EX harnes is also a one piece harness and will have to be used on the LS motor so he is off to a good start.
Since its and EX and the motor is an LS then you will be fine just swapping over the harness and using the ecu adapter.
Looks like you've already visited http://www.jspectuning.com/6gen for tips and hints too.
Good luck.

Thanks Trey. You know the 1996-2000 **** much better than me, and i've always said that.

Sounds good to me. Im doing the same thing to my 97 dx this weekend but with a b16 tranny. Im using my dx harness and i have a obd1 converter. I need to find me a ls ecu or a 92-95 civic dx ecu to get me uy for now though. Also remember that you might run into sime wiring on the obd1 distrubutor. The plugs on the ex harness and the dist are gonna be different. Good luck. Really easy swap. Have fun.
if i were doing the same swap into the 99 civic ex but with a gsr tranny would the axles or the tranny brackets needed be different? and what is the del sol bracket needed for? thanks
