Default Pin Strip Removal...How To

Anyone removed the stupid pin strips on the side of your cars? and how did you do it? without scratchin the **** out of the paint?

on my friends civic we just pulled them off, do it slow and try not to break the stripes and u can do both sides in like 30 mins. on my car however, 95 teg, they were painted on and i had to have them professionally removed.

Same thing happen to my old GSR how gay is that to paint some pinstripes on!

Best to do it on a hot day- That way the glue doesn't tend to stick as much to the paint.

Best to do it on a hot day- That way the glue doesn't tend to stick as much to the paint.
Or if its never a hot day were your from use a Hair Dryer like I did.

use a heat gun ( on LOW setting) and a plastic razor blade

Thanks everyone, i guess ill have to do it in summer i hate waiting for da ****.... but it will be worth it went the dumb strip is gone

yea you really have to do it in the summer. It took me awhile to get it off and all of the glue still isnt off my car but it looks so much better. You could do it now and just take a blow dryer and warm it up b4 peeling it off. That should work and goo gone should take off the glue as well. But IMO I would wait for summer since its so damn cold outside

On my old car, used a hair dryer, my thumb nail, and alot of patience!
ditto , and used some stuff called wipe away... has orange pill in it.. safe on paint, and gets the goo off. got it at walmart.. remeber it only gets the goo residue left by the pin stripe.
