I have a 1996 accord ex with a f18B (thats bad. it has very little potenial.)
I would like to buy a jdm h22 or h22a engine to put in there.BUt i am wondering if when i am buying the engine should look for everything
h22a,buy new engine mounts and axels for a honda prelude,ecu,odb or odb2 (whats the difference?)5 speed hydraulic transmission, wiring harness, alternator, manifolds, motor mounts, sensors.

CAN U PLEASE TELL ALL THE PARTS THAT I AM GOING TO NEED FOR THE SWAP?
CAN u tell me where can i buy it(engine to) in miami or houston?

 

search is your best friend. but to help you a little bit: buy the engine/trans/ecu, you use same mounts, use your accord axles, if your 5spd already you can use your shifter/linkage, but prelude shifter/lingage is better, your obdII, so I suggest you stick obdII, or go obdI and buy a conv. harness, use your harness (add wires necessary), use prelude intake, header, accord exhaust. That should be enough to get you started...

Hey man welcome to honda-tech, not to give you sh*t or anything just correcting you, you would have an f22b1 not an f18. and as for where to buy an h22 you should go to this site: osakajdmmotors.com they seem to have the best prices on the web for honda engines. also since you're doing a swap into a 96 accord pretty much all you'll need is what they will give you when buying the engine. I would do some serious research before doing this swap though because I have heard both good and bad thing about osaka jdm. Also on another note if you plan on boosting the H22 in the future then use your accord tranny and if you're going to N/A build it use the H22 tranny. anyways good luck with whatever you do and keep us posted on how it's going.
