My check engine light is on but i forgot how to check the codes so could someone help me

 

go where your ecu is and find 2 green wires with blue ends on then (not on your ecu its next to it somewhere you have to find it). look at the blue thing where there is only 2 holes. then you get a piece of wire and have the wires expose on both ends and place one wire in one hole the other in the other hole and watch your check engine light give you a code.

 

Take the Engine Diagnostic Plug out of it's plastic dummy plug thingy (plug is up by the glove box in the passenger-side floor board) and take something metal and bridge the gap between the two pins (a paper clip or short length of wire will do), then turn the key to on and see what code the CEL blinks.
