Hahaha, can I cut through axles with a hacksaw? How long would this take...on say...oh a 240sx.

Reason I ask is because I am going to the wrecking yard and don't feel like taking things appart. I just want to go in, cut what i want off, and get out. Mabey it would be easier to take the stuff appart...

arent axles hardened? there is no way that hacking through them would be easier or faster than taking it apart.. but good luck

That is kinda what I thought. Oh well, I will bring the hacksaw anyway and see what a few minutes with it does. I am guess nothing more than a minor scratch and mabey a small groove.

If its at a junk yard um pretty sure they ahve plasma cutter. just cut what you need.

I doubt highly that they would let me use their plasma cutter for the purpose of destroying axles that are on their cars.

Sawzall - You can get a battery powered one - might work
