Default Will b16a2 (obd2) distributor work with (obd1) p28 motor?

I just got my b16 in and it has a bad stumble and seems to be ignition related.
I am using a b16a2 dizzy that I repined the plug to obd1, but now I am thinking the internals are different and the cause of the stumble.

if anything is wrong with the pin outs then you would get a MIL.
the distributor should work fine.
are your cap, rotor, wires, and plugs all good?
