ignition failure after updating support tools for emanage main unit
Firstly I would like to say, this is a great awesome Honda tech forum site.
I have a slight problem. I hope someone who had install Greddy Emanage or experience ECU troubleshooter, could help me out.
I had install emanage into my civic
7th generation 1.7L direct ignition, it was running quite well except for
some very low idling. I waited for my original support tools from the
supplier which came in today, hoping to resolve my idling problem
with some fine tuning, as i was setting it up, the system requested
my PC to update the emanage main unit. After the update, i was not
able to start my car.
I did check for the 4 basic requirements for combustion, there was
fuel(fuel pump working), compression and airflow but now no
ignition/spark. I have check thru all the wirings, there isn't any
problems with wiring as the car was runing well for a few weeks.
There isn't any engine check light problems, infact, I tried to
unhook the map sensor to throw a engine check light, the ECU did not
detect the problem at all
I hope if someone out there has any suggestion to trouble shoot this
little problem of mine. Thank you ahead for any help.

Hi AzSi22,
Thanks for the wonderful advise, it works. I have check all the fuse for the ecu and stupid of me not to check the coil fuse. Well, it did work but I guess the update has mess up my emanage main unit and it keeps blowing the fuse. after going thru 6 fuses, testing the various jumpers, I have given up and re-connect my ecu and found it to be working without any problems, I guess the update has some effect on the ignition. Just need to figure how to reset my emanage back to original state. Will post once I have it figure out, cheers ;p
