what to get next..?
most of you know i'm making only 140 hp and 155 lbs of torque at the wheels with 6 psi on my turbo'd auto accord... the 3" exhaust got installed over the weekend and i'm wondering if my previous 2.25" catback w/ exhaust leak was robbing me of some precious horsepower... the car definitely feels better with the new exhaust... i'm wondering if i should just get the cam gear + boost controller installed and get the car retuned... daily 6psi and 10 psi on certain days only... any ideas..?
i'm still sticking to the automagic...
so far i got on the car:
drag gen 4 turbo kit
drag inline fuel pump
vafc/440 hack
custom 3" exhaust
spark plugs (step colder)
i have sitting in my room:
greddy profec b
skunk2 cam gear
possible options?
level 10 pts kit and/or torque converter
unorthodox ss pulley set
msd btm

ratherbewalking, there's a lot of links about what the vafc hack is... here's one of them: http://www.thedropshop.tv/vafc.htm
niedejb, did you think the btm was worth it..? i plan to stay at 6-10 psi... i know we both have the same motor but will i need to modify anything or purchase any additional parts in order to run the msd btm..?

vafc hack is basically a cheap fuel managment way to control fuel etc.
oever heard of POOR MANS HONDATA... thats what it is.. poor mans hondata..
do a search on it..
and iam7head... the f22 will fit on a f23a1 with out anymodication...
and you dont need a five speed... you need a built auto and the power to push out either a 5 speed or auto.. i wont flam you like you flammed my thread though..
also all f sereis motors along with H serious are interchangable with our trannies and motors...
there you go pimp.
and accordexcchange.. for upgrades i agree with ArchAngel Sabastian..

Built head will help a help of alot.. get a Web Cam with Ported and Polished head along with a valve job etc etc... you will notice a LARGE diff in power... the head will do wonders you never thought off...

ArchAngel Sabastian & BottleFedBigBodyLX, i'm guessing the aem kit only has alternator and power steering pullies..? i'm still leaning towards the unorthodox ss kit though... and the pully debate continues... but their faq sounds pretty believable...
"We do not manufacture crank pulleys that replace or eliminate a damper in applications where the factory crank pulley is an actual harmonic damper (such as 90 degree V engines)."
"Unorthodox Racing has been manufacturing and selling pulleys for over 5 years without a single engine failure due to the replacement of the stock crank pulley."
although i've had an aem short ram and cold air intake, i try to stay away from aem for some reason-i don't know why... that's why i got the skunk2 cam gear instead of aem's... where to get H22 TB/IM combo and how much am i looking at..? i will consider the hardcore internal engine work later down the road...

While there are many people out there that say that you won't damage your engine if you have a UR pulley, I'd tell you to put your money else where to be on the safe side.
I had a UR crank pulley on and wasn't impressed.
I don't think that the lightened crank pulley is really the factor in many cases where people said that they had problems. High miles and more stress on the motor than usual use can be to blame there. Hondas have balanced crank shafts so there shouldn't be a much of a problem from a pulley of different weight.
I bet you would get some nice gains off a lightened crank pulley though, since your running some boost.

Level Ten PTS kit
Thier "upgrades" do not harness power any better than stock auto tranny components. I.e. they are horrible.
Sorry niedejb, I'll have to disagree with you. I just had my tranny rebuilt, and used the Level Ten PTS kit. The transmission shop that I used is one of the oldest and most experienced in the area. The local tuner shop recommended them highly. They told me that the Level Ten kit was the best that they had seen, and backed up their statement by extending my warranty. I have noticed a definite improvement over the stock tranny; more positive shifts, and smoother operation.
maybe i've been gone for a while to miss your reasoning but....WHY ARE YOU STICKING WITH THE AUTOMAGIC ?
other than that, i'm sorry but i have nothing to help your search...except for the obvious...GET RID OF THE AUTOMAGIC, with the money you spend at level ten you could have bought all the parts for the swap...

How would you go about changing the pullies back. I am pretty sure that the crank pully on my ride was changed and the Unorthedoux Racing underdrive pullies. I also have the AEM tru power pullies and i can't stand it. What problems might i be noticing with these stupid underdrive pullies?
