Ok this is the first problem after the swap. I decided to buy a timing gun and check the timing cuz I replaced the timing belt and took off the distributor a few times. Warmed up the car turned it off jumped the connector hooked up the timing light. I go to turn on the car and it starts then the rpms slowly fall and the motor dies. I try to start again it starts but quickly dies again. After disconnecting the damn timing gun the fuel pump wont prime. I left for a few hours came back and everything is fine car started and i drove it around all is good. Then with the gun hooked up the same thing happen again. Anybody know anything about this???? i need help bad.

 

Did anyone see that before? The car is running fine now but i can't check timing. Is my battery low or what??

 

are you grounding the timing gun?

 

I tried grounding at the battery and at the tranny ground too.
