Ls head set up
Hey guys needing some opinions on which way to go on this. I am wanting to be able to rev the motor to 7,500 rpms and for it to flow decent. This is going on a LS turbo set. What would be a reliable way to go and also not break me at the same time?
Yeah, i was looking for something a little simplier, I know the Port n Polish is a must, but how much can i get away with just stock valve train?
7500rpm isn't that high. You should be able to rev up there without any mods. You might want to get some aftermarket valve springs to help prevent float if you're worried about it. Some mild cams to move your torque curve up the RPM scale a bit might compliment your new redline also.
I revved my stock LS to around 7800. Now the motor is built and Ive gone to 8800 so far. 4 angle ferrea 1mm over on in/ex, p&p, crower dual race springs, stock retainers -- i dont trust the expensive ones that wear out.
