max revs
ive got a 95 turbo civic ex at only 5-6 psi and i was wondering whats the hightest i could raise the rev limiter to. any advice? i looking to upgrade my ecu and want to know how safe i should polay the revs.

okay, so because im not a mechanic or experience at all im going to ask some stuff. you guys say build the head, the valvetrain... if i didnt do this, what could i expect to happen to my motor and why. and what would upgading everything do for me? and whats some simple mods i can do to keep the cost down?

It should be safe to do that. although it does depend on wich ECU you are going to use. If your RPM's reach the 9k area it would be best to put your rev-limiter on and then upgrade the ecu.

but what im concerned about is breaking something. how is the breathing going to change if i were to rev it to mayube 8000rpm? would it start getting horribly inefficient or break something? what do i have to worry about?

it's more important to keep power to the wheels, torque falls very quickly when you run out of cam. look around at the millions of dyno charts that everyone post.

that motor produces max hp at 6600 0r 6800 rpms i dont remember which one, after that it drops drastically. so unless you get a different cam, springs, etc. theres no reason to rev it any higher than the 7200 rpm redline.
