so what do you guys recomend? yes, i know, i shouldn't have ran it...and its dangerous...please spare me all that, i've heard enough from the officer...what should i do? is there anyway i don't have to pay for the ticket? help!

You asked what to do, you got your first answer. If you had ever
been broadsided someone who ran a red, then you might think
differently about it. All I heard you saying is "how do I get out
of paying the ticket?" NOT "I'm really gratefull I didn"t kill someone."
Think about it!

 

get a lawyer or some paralegal advice...maybe they can reduce it....but hard to prove that you didn;t do it....

 

pay your fine like everyone else

 

Pay the damn thing, one thing i have heard but god knows if it works, and once again it may vary form state to state. Send em 1 dollar more than the fine, so say your fines 40 bucks, send them 41 adn when they send you the 1 dollar check back dont cash it. Technically if you dont cash the check the transaction cannot be processed so they cant issue out the points to your liscense. Ive tried it before but ive never really found out if it worked. My suggestion, go to court, plead guilty all theyll do is make you pay the ticket but not take points off your liscense, either way they got you. But at least you wont get points off.

 

That whole $1 extra thing is a rumor and it does not work.

The best way to get out of it is just to pay the fine.

there you go. Go to court and plead guilty, in Maryland if you go to court and plead guilty they wont put the points on your liscense. It may be that way where you live or anywhere. But its worth a try instead of gettin the points on your liscense, worse that could happen is you have to pay the fine, which your gonna do anyways. Whatever you do, dont fight it, its your word against theirs.

 

oh aite..thanks guys...yeah, at least i didn't hit nobody...i know i'm guilty, i just heard a rumor that if i show up in court and the cop doesn't show up then i'm free to go...i'll pay the ticket and i think i have to go to trafic school if i don't want any negative points...
