Default ALL b20 vtec guru's read this!

I have $5500 to build a b20/vtec motor with. I need the Honda Tech community to help me out. First, is this enough money to get my b20vtec going into a ek4 into the high 12's 1/4 time? If it is not then tell what you would expect it to run. Second I would like people who have done this swap and would like to share with me the stuff they had to over come while doing the swap and also what parts they would use to build the head and bottom end. Need to know what kind of tranny works best with this swap also. Im thinking about a gsr tranny with a nice LSD.

Thanks
Calder

also do a search in the archives...

money does not equal speed.

there is no one way to do a buildup,

there is only YOUR way.

Have you ever been on track before??

<<< Just put my stock B20/vtec into my 97 coupe HX so I can give you some other info if you need it. I have a GSR tranny w/ LS 5th gear & Quaife. I will never drive any car I have w/out an LSD.

5500 is plenty if you can do some work yourself.
