Default zc motor... will it bolt up in my stock rex?

I have an 88 dx crx and I was wondering if the dohc zc motor is a direct bolt up match for my car?

yes it will bolt up to your tranny as well to the mounts you have. longest its 88-91 DOHC/SOHC ZC from Civic/CRX (aka black cover)

it will require you to do some wiring adn few little small changes. very easy swap and makes the car feel much better

As far as the ZC engine goes, is it a strong motor? Basically im looking for dependability because my car is an everyday driver.

first thing you have to do is convert to mpfi, then everything else should bolt right in. no aftermarket mounts needed. zc is a pretty reliable motor, at least mine was.
if i were you i would rather save a little more and go w a b series, but its all you.

Direct bolt in not hard at all. You can even use your dx tranny(wouldn't reccommend because of gearing). Get an 90-91 Si tranny or, ZC tranny(uses ontermediate shaft). Engines are cheap and reliable.

the hardest thing with the zc is converting the wiring harness for the dx. The rest is easy. If you can find a jdm ecu that would be better. For the money unless you build the b16, the zc is faster stock. but that is my opinion. I had a 89 crx hf with a zc and si trans, jdm ecu, it ran 15.1 in the quarter and i drove it 100 miles to work and home.

There is a swap im looking at that has the motor and trans. but I would plan on buying the zc ecu... Also would it be best for me to get the 90-93 teg axles.... and to tz-devil77 big ups for NC
