Does anyone have a gude head package on there B16a? I just ordered one for my B16 in my CRX. They told me i will get 50 extra hp at the wheels from it. What do you all think of it? I was just wondering how you liked it and anything else you want tobtell me about it.

i've heard nothing but bad **** about them. on the prelude forum i goto not many people would reccomend him. only good thing i heard about them was from some jackass that pretended to have a majorly hooked up lude, but didnt.

their/his site might look good, but dont fall into the trap like so many others.

 

GUDE -grabage.... i have not yet to hear ONE good thing about them in the past 2 years... heck i thought they be out of buisness by now!!!

B16= go with portflow or DYP(i think..or DYR or DPY..somthing like that.

 

i had a gude head package on my d16a6 of course i got it for free, so i cant really complain, the port work looked pretty good to me, i never expirienced any problems with the head, and a definitly felt a considerable power increase, i ended up swapping to a b16 later on b/c my rings started to go out.

i cant tell you much about thier service so i cant really help ya there, but i was pretty satisfied w/ the product

A little off topic..... but to all you old schoolers... whatever happend to DPR heads? (Dan Paramore Racing) I remember back in 95-96 when everyone swore by his heads. In regards to Gude, I have a Gude cam in my D16a6 and am not too impressed with it. However I have a buddy who also has a Gude Cam in his D16a6 but a different grind and he pulls 14.8's with just bolt ons the cam and street tires.

 

what cam does he have?

 

It's a grind that Bill Gude won't make anymore. Why I don't know, I think that cam kicks ***. It's a mild cam that has very close specs as the 2624(the one I currently hav) but in my opinion just a little bit better. When I tried to order the old grind they just sent me this 2624. As I said both are very mild, and almost not even noticible when the car is idling.

 

If you guys are looking for a d16a6 cam.. we have a mean street cam that performs great with just bolt ons.... and of course even better with headwork to complement it. SR909... dope grind.. and its not too wild either. good all around cam.

 

DPR is still around, and Dan still does awesome work. Definatley a place to check out, if you are doing headwork.
