How do i tell if rotor is warn?
How can i tell if the rotor on my 97 civic ex is worn and needs to be replaced, i needed a new cap and got a rotor 2 and the damn screw is impossible to get out of it , its in such a strange place, but im wondering how do i make sure i need to replace it?
current mileage would help, but id replace it. the screw is easy to get to, youve just gotta unplug the distributor and slowly crank the engine a little at a time, until you can get to it.
sure mang. by the way, i always replace the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor every year. not totally nessesary, but i guess im just weird like that
maybe the screw is not facing you. Try to crank the engine little by little until the screw is facing you. Then you will be able to remove it. You can also use a 17mm on on the powerstreering pulley conterclockwise until the screw is facing you.
A worn rotor is all oxydized on his tip, if you see too much oxydation, replace the rotor.

thanks everyone.
What i did was attached the cap by one screw, started the car, waited till the SRS light came off, turned it off. opened it up, and the screw was in the perfect spot. My goodluck ^^ new rotor and cap on now, wires should come soon from a group buy for $52
