Skunk2 stage 1 cams
Type S valvetrain
Raise the comp up to at least 11.5:1 if not higher
JUN flywheel
Drag radials - Not slicks
Possibly raise your FD
Adj shocks...tuning your suspension will be a key to droping your 60's
VAFC- a must for light tuning - Hondata or AEM standalone would be better

Those are just a few basic things that will take you some time to buy. The main part of 13's will be you....get your launch down to consistent 1.9's and you should see some nice 13 sec timeslips very soon.

stripp interior

In my opinion you should never strip a Prelude interior. If you really want light weight swap the H motor into and older civic. Do what you want but I think it's a waste. Just get a 50-75 shot to make up for the creature comforts.

No kidding on the weight issue, but maybe I can help out a little. Check out my site if you like... http://www.collectiveracing.net There is a couple of 13 sec NA preludes who post there.

How much power would you guys expect to require for a full interior Prelude to get into the 13s in NA form? (some people seem to count NOS as NA - I am talking real NA, so a 75hp NOS hit is not an option).

I have been stuck on 2.5s 60ft times on a crappy track, with cheap tires etc - and have been running 14.7s with mph in the high 90s...

I have sorted out traction and will be running in 2 weeks time on a prepped track, hoping for 2.2-2.3s 60ft times - would mid-low 14s be a reasonable target?

There's a start. You should be able to pull a 2.1 on good street tires and at least a 2.0 on drag radials if not better. Heck I've pulled 2.0's on SO-3's. A mild set of cams and some good tuning should be enough if you can get a lower 60'.

Yeah, been over that - I run mine as I drive on the street... full interior, exhaust, street tires etc etc, and I am going to run that at my next meet as well. I'm having a little break from power mods, doing ~185fwhp as per my last tuning session which is IMHO sufficient to do much quicker than 14.7 - but with no decent traction its not being made good use of.

My driving is fine, theres only so much you can do with endurance compound 195mm wide tires ;p Same as what you typical grandma would use on her Toyota Corolla. From what I've seen over the last few months traction has more to do with getting quicker times (to an extent of course) than adding power, as power gains in NA form tend to be minimal.

You can shave more time by dropping from 2.5s 60ft to 2.4 (etc etc) than you could by gaining 10fwhp from what I have seen lately.
