Car suddenly won't start... *scratches head*
Well here's the deal about a month and a half ago the car wouldn't start changed the plugs, cap, and rotor still wouldn't start so I swaped out the ignitor. Car started up fine and has ran flawlessly since then. Last night I go out and car started up and ran fine then I go to leave this morning and it just sputtered and died right after it started tried turning it over and it just cranks, no CEL. Tried resetting the ecu, but no luck, timing looked fine. Any thoughts I haven't had any time to look at it yet. BTW I changed the fuel filter 6 months ago and I don't think that is the culprit either.
There is a resistor in the stock coil that power to the igniter goes through. Maybe this caused the igniter to fail before and is either bad now or caused the igniter to go bad again.
Possible PGM-FI main relay or ignition coil. see if you have spark and/or fuel. That should point you in the right direction.
then I go to leave this morning and it just sputtered and died right after it started tried turning it over and it just cranks, no CEL.
