Default just bought a 92' hatch, with sir2 motor..

I'm curious about buying a car from someone who has a swap done to thier car already, are there any concerns or worries i have to know about? I mean i like it due to the fact it's in a hatch, but i need somethin for daily driving. Dude got all internals done to this motor, is it for race only? or is it okay to drive daily. The motor has 58k on it, (b16 sir2,aem cams,je pistons, crower rods,etc..etc..)

ask him why he's selling it... and see if he's telling the truth ...
other than that i'd buy if i were you... just cause its got internals doesn't mean its only usage is for the track...
there are many cars on the street with internals done...
drive it for a while and see how it runs..
or buy yourself a beater to go to and from work....

Your post says, you just bought this car.. Your thread says, thinking about buying it?? Did you buy it?? As mentioned find out the history of the car, and ask the owner why he's selling it, etc. Have a mechanic check it out before you buy it...

I personally would never buy someone elses headache, er um "project." There's too much involved to check out if the internal mods he says he has done to it are legit. I would just buy an unmodifed car that you like and either do the work or pay to have it done. That way at least you'll know exactly what you are putting in it.

i'm buying the car in a couple of days, i want it, imma take it for spin too see how it runs, but i was skeptical about some things..byt the guy sounds honest, and only reason he's gettin rid of it is because dude just gotta kid and he needs money for a different car, cause' i don't thinmk her can strap his new born in a seatless hatch yknow?..

Go for it, but make sure the car is still raning good. from my experience. Most of the time there are something wrong with them that why they are for sale.

Guy I know just bought a Civic with that same swap. Had it for about two weeks and then found out there was a cracked cylinder wall.
