Aside from tuning, how long should it take to do the swap on a 99 Civic Si?

 

depends if you've done it before or not. could take 1-2 hours, could take 2 days. but 2 hours should be good.

make sure you leave the motor to cool overnight or for at least few hours. it will take you about 4-6hrs all in all if you haven't done it before. just take your time and follow a plan.

 

good advice there, i did a cam swap and total took about 8 hours (it was 28 degrees out), for the reason of me breaking a bolt inside the head and stretching a bolt, i was furious, but just make sure you know what you're up against. Before i did it i red the manual a couple of times just to make sure how to properly remove everything and put it back on. good luck

Guys it takes 15 minutes to get to the cams...it's only a few bolts =\

how about only the cam gears? how long would it take?

 

About 10-15 min less.
