I'm not certain which clips you're referring to, but when I removed mine, everything basically snapped out or unbolted. HTH a little.

The thread is M14 x 1.5 You will also likely need a barbed fitting as well. I went to Napa and they didn't have it. Well they did, but the hole was way too small. Home Depot only has SAE fittings.

SAE = Not metric aka standard i.e. inches. You're looking for metric fittings. I got mine from http://www.hosenow.com per Dropspeed's post.

A barbed fitting is one which fits snuggly inside a tube or hose.

I use a 3/8 nylon barbed fitting with a little hondabond on it. The threads were close enough and since it was plastic the fitting would go before the threads on my rack would. Its not like its under pressure anymore. I've also converted back to stock with no problems.

Don't throw away your power steering pump and accessories, you may need them later!!! From someone who relizes that it's ggod to keep stock items around!
