Power steering removal???
Is there any certain way to remove power steering from a vehicle...I am sure that I heard somewhere that you can not just remove the pump and the lines, that something else needs to happen. I am just trying to confirm this before I do this. Thanks for you r help and I did a search, but it only confused me more.
yes you can remove the power steering pump, and lines and what not, the other thing u don't 'need' to get but would be easier to steer w/o power steering is a non-power steering rack.

What i did on my car tempo. is remove everything and just run the 2 line back to one another to make 1 continuous line. that way the fluid stays in the rack but flows back and forth so the piston moves frelly lubed up and everything. It owrks for me until i get a non-powersteering rack.

The reason i roued the lines back to the other one is cause it keeps the rack lubed...if you dont keep it lubed it could get stuck in a midde of a turn and that woudl suck not being able to turn the wheel. It is very unlikly but it is a goo didea to do what i mentioned to keep this from happening. If you got any ?'s email me or Pm here on H-T.com
