Is this the same as any high temperature grease? I'm talking about what I need to lube the cam journals with. Also is Honda bond the same as lock tight?
Honda bond is not the same as Lock Tight. Honda bond is gasket sealer and lock tight is used to secure nuts and bolts together like glue for metal, it comes in 3 main strengths blue, green and red.
Dont use honda bond on the cams! Thats not what its for. Give crower a call and tell them you bought some cams, and lost the lube, and you need to know what you can buy local.
Yes use assembly lube when installing cams, cam journals or anything rotating mass. Honda bond is not the same as lock tite, but a gasket sealer.
assembly lube is not the same as high temp grease!!!!!
Assembly lube breaks down and blends in with the motor oil once the oil gets running in your engine..

i dunno how it is with brand spankin' new cams, but i just recently swapped cams, i just lubed it up with the oil that was in the head. it worked quite well...maybe it only matters when you've got a dry motor and you're building it before you put it in?

Normally on cam installs i don't ever use assembly lube and it seems to work fine... I know it is recommended but I just lubricate everything with oil first, I do however use it when I assemble bottom ends... I either use the assembly lube pictured above^^ or Redline CV2...
