Owners with highperformance cam~cams...
Yep, most cams come with lube for install time. Crower and I believe one other big cam maker recomends dino oil...as in don't use synthetic with their cams.
If you haven't installed them yet though, and they're brand new, you really should try to get some moly lube. It's much thicker than 5w30 and will stick with the cams better than motor oil during the first few critical spins.

Tim, I got a new billet Crane cam and they send me moly lube should I apply it right now to prevent rusting or something or leave at is? I know I'm gonna use that when I'm installing the cam but I'm just scared it might rust lol.. I have to wait 1-2 weeks to get this installed cause I'm waiting for my cam gear..

it would also help if you polished cam journals with at least 800 grit sandpaper ... light passes around the journals.

Is the Redline break-in lube thick?....thick like room temp maple syrup?
I'm just wondering if the green stuff I'm using is thick enough.
