h23 distributor question
coz the problem with my car right now is that its cranking but not producing any spark....i bought a brand new external coil and it ran for a little bit but died on my way home again and still has the same problem of cranking but not firing up...so it comes down to the distributor...it seems like if the car is cold it will start but when it gets hot...the car just dies........so if anybody has this problems before, shed some light ova here please and help me out. also is the h23 and h22 distributor the same the 92-95 h22 distributor?

I dont know if your whole distributor needs replacing, but it sounds to me like the ignitor in the distributor is bad and yes you can swap h series distributors around. except obd1->obd2 and vice versa

where exactly is the main relay located at?
also, can i use the h22 distributor for my h23?...i guess as long as it uses the external coil right..or does all h22a1 uses distributor with internal coil?

your best bet would be to go buy a msd cap with external blaster coil that way you dont have to worry about mix matching oe parts , the cap from a h22. may not fit considering the diff. in the heads
well i dont really have a problem with mix matching stuff....i was just wondering if i could use the h22 distributor considering if the actual problem is within the distributor itself...but i'm gonna check the igniter unit first thing tomorrow since its so damn cold ova here right now....i'm gonna check if i'm gettin any voltage from that...if not then i could probably just replace that unit itself with out replacing the whole distributor itself...i already got a new cap, rotor, and ignition coil anyways...so it narrows it down...
