test pipes

Default test pipes

my buddy whant's to put on a test pipe on his 97 R would it be alright to run it like a b pipe just straight off the header. and will it mostly just improve high rpm gains

It will free power across the whole range I believe. And there is no other way to run it... so yes.

and dose he have to re install the o2 sensor or is it ok for it to throw the code.

if he converts to OBDI he will not have the secondary o2 sensor. But it will throw a code if he doesnt. some people have wrapped their o2 sensors in a layer of tin foil and then electrical tape and tape it to the firwall, not putting it in the bung. Havent tried it myself.
