valve cover torque?
dude the little silver studs on the valve cover? 50 ft lbs will bust em OFF! 18 ft lb is the proper spec. I trq'd mine to like 19 and the lil bastard broke off! 50 is way to tight for the little silver studs on the valvecover. hope its not to late....

i just tighten them with a wrench (no specific torque), its not that important, just so you get a good seal with the gasket. about 5-10 ftlbs
Just tighten it by hand, you'll feel when its enough, it doesn't really matter, just not 50 lbs though. Only thing you really need to measure is everything under the valve cover.
my bad, if you have trq. wrench trq. em to 18. Not sure what they measure the tighting w/ but i was thinkin hp/trq when I said ft lbs. sorry. Be sure to hook up your engine ground and a new gasket will keep oil from leaking out.
