Default OBD2 to OBD1

I've read about alot of you guys coverting your OBD2 with OBD1's, i was just wondering if the results you get a worth the coversion? Say if you converted a say 98 gs-r OBD2 to an OBD1 using a 95 gs-r ecu, would it run like a 95? Just curious, thanks!

people turn to obd1 for tuning purposes. For example hondata.....chipping an obd2 ecu costs way too much and is much more complicated. As for running like a 94-95 GSR....dont think there's much power difference w/ just the obd1 gsr ecu.

i dotn know if its worth it without a lot of serious mods.
My friend put his turbo itr to obd1 right off the bat we gained 12-13 whp without even touchin anything else.
he doesnt have hondata , just a chipped p28 with a boosted b16 program and covnerted to obd1,
im obd1 now too , but becuase i have hondata

like everyone else said, not worth it just for performance difference of switching over itself. switch over if you plan on doing some tuning via hondata.

if you do the obd2-obd1 conversion, do you change the distributor to an obd1?
