msd 6btm vs msd digital 6??
which one is better???for some reason the digital 6 seems better..well more features i could find out about anyways..and they both retard timing when boost occurs? so whats the differences between these 2?the digital has the 2 step rev limiter..anything else?what would be best investment?thnx
Reason for Digital 6:
The reason for the two rev limits is that you can use one for when you are staging, and one for your actual rpm rev limit cause it cuts the ignition instead of the fuel like the factory ecu.
Reason for BTM:
If you have a nitrous, then get Dig. 6; if you have turbo or supercharger get BTM. I have a Digital 6, but have not installed it yet so I cannot give you any experience. Several local guys
Switch between two rev limits that adjust with rotary switches in 100 rpm increments...and...Single stage retard for nitrous and top end performance.
Reason for BTM:
Supercharged or turbo engines will benefit from the 6BTM in more ways than one. Not only do the full energy sparks help burn the fuel mixture, it allows the driver to retard the ignition timing based on the amount of boost being produced by the supercharger. The timing is adjusted from a dash
mounted **** and can be retarded 1 - 3° per pound of boost with a maximum of 15°. There is also a built-in adjustable rev control to protect the engine from over-rev damage.

All 6 boxes are internally identical in function, the only differences are the model specific attributes. Each will deliver spark identical to the other aside from the little modifiers like boost retard or 2 stage rev limiting.
