Default which one....msd 6btm or msd 6a

once the turbo is installed i will be boosting at 7psi. i was wondering which is better to have a 6btm or a 6a?

do the 6a have a rev limiter coz i went to the msd website and they have the 6a and 6al there but they only mentioned that 6al have a built-in soft touch rev control. how bout the 6a?

the car is a '99 SiR.

The BTM has Boost Dependant Timing Retard doesn't it? Seems like the obvious choice to me on a turboed car unless you are going standalone right away...

If you do not have standalone and want the ability to retard the timing on the fly, get the 6BTM. If you don't need the timing retard, get the 6al or offroad versions. The 6 is a bare-bones ignition and has no rev control. You need the 6al at a minimum.

Honda ECUs have built in rev limiters. Why would you want to pay for another one? (Not being a smartass, just wondering is there is a reason)

6A works great, I've used them in all my cars.

My best guess would be that the Honda ECU has fuel-cut rev limit while the aftermarket ignitions have an ignition cut rev limit.
