i would like to know if you know, well i got an 91 Integra Ls with the stock motor in it nothing done to it besides in intake, i wanna know if someone knows what they did diffrent between the 90- 91 and 92 -93's the 90 - 91's have 10 less horse but the same motor how would i get that gain back? how do i get that 10 horse do i get an 92 - 93 ecu? or is it in the inside the enigine., if you dont know who would?

 

get an exhaust, header, cams, cam gears and you will have at least 10 horsepower if not more

Honda (like all car companies) sometimes takes some liberties with their hp ratings....one example being the 5th gen Prelude; the 97-99s are rated at 190 or 195, while the 00-01s are rated at 200. No changes were made, they just upped it to help sales, and because 10 crank horsepower is really miniscule. Every motor is a little different, so they can get away with tacking on a few extra hp.

the 92+ rev to 6900 or 7k i believe vs. the 90-91 which rev to 6500 i'm guessing they pulled that number from somewhere between 6600 and 7000 rpm

 

They changed the camshaft profile.
