Default B18A Differences?

What is the difference b/t a 90-91 and a 92-93 that makes a 10 hp difference? Is it just cam or is it the ECU upgrade? Just wondering b/c I've got a 91 B18A, but i've gotten my hands on some 92 cams. Does anyone know?

Thanx
~steven

The B18b head is different from the B18a head. The shape of the combustion chambers is different on the two. I thought that it was the 94 and up non vtec integras that had more power though, I don't think it changed in 92. I don't think 1992 integra cams will help you very much, the cams and the ecu might give you more power, but you could spend the money on something that gueranteed to give you more power instead of a 92 ecu. Actually I have a 92 integra ecu chipped by dinan if you are interested.

No see, i have the 92 cams, supposedly there is a 10 Hp differnce b/t 90/91 and 92/93 B18As prolly due to the ECU. BUT i would have to totally rewire from a non-OBD 88 CRX HF to a 92-95 OBD1 setup. Worth it? nah. I've got the specs on the cams and the 92/93 Intake cam is more aggressive by about 1mm than the 90/91 intake cam. The exhuast are apporximately equal. Just wondering thats all.....

Just throw in the cams, reset the ecu, and remember to adjust the valves. I wouldn't even bother with the different ECU. I'd be willing to bet 75% of the difference is with the cams.

Thank Rioninja, I was figuring it was the the cams. I mean I got them for free from a fellow hybrider, he upgraded from the B18A cams to B18B cams. Not much of a diff, but it's there (2HP). I'm hoping that 10HP will be in the cam. They were free, so WTH, ya know?
