So the other day I had a Clutch Masters Stage 5 (I have big plans for this car) installed. Everything went smoothly, until the moment came to start it back up. The car BARELY turned over, and when it did, it had to be kept at WOT just to keep it running. It completely flooded the motor. As soon as I let off the gas, the car died. I pulled the plugs (Brand Spanking new NGK V-Power's) and they were fine. I then put some older Accel plugs in, with the same results.

What is up here???? The only thing we can figure is that there is some wiring messed up somewhere. What is up????????

I've never heard of this problem. Maybe the clutch isn't disengaging fully or maybe something else got tripped up during the install.

check your idle screw, cap, rotor, all the normal things to see if they are up to par.

 

I'll give that stuff a good twice-over tomorrow.

that should not keep the car from starting or running. You can start the car without disengaging the clutch if you press the clutch start switch manually and start the car (same thing happens with remote start on a manual tranny car, clutch switch is bypassed).

 

I think the distributor might be going out. I'm buying a new one today. I guess we'll find out what happens.
